Vice President, Advocacy and Strategic Initiatives
Cara Morris is the Vice President of Advocacy and Strategic Initiatives. As Vice President, Mrs. Morris serves in a dual capacity for both the National Urban League’s Washington, D.C. and New York headquarters. Mrs. Morris serves as a liaison between the Urban League’s affiliate movement and advocacy partners focused on advancing the National Urban League’s Empowerment Goals in areas of Education, Health, Housing and Jobs. Senior Director, Communications and External Affairs
Kezmiché “Kim” Atterbury serves as Senior Director of Communications and External Affairs at the National Urban League. In this role, Kim leads all communications strategy for the Washington Bureau and serves as an advisor to the Senior Vice President for Policy and to National Urban League president and CEO. In addition, Kim manages external affairs and partnership opportunities for the Washington Bureau.
Senior Director, Policy and Legislative Affairs
Susie Saavedra is the Senior Director for Policy and Legislative Affairs at the National Urban League Washington Bureau where she brings over 15 years of federal legislative, policy and political experience to her passion for advancing social and economic justice.
Senior Director, Civil Rights and Workforce Policy
Suzanne M. Bergeron is a long-time member of the Washington Bureau and is responsible for promoting the Urban League’s policy and legislative agenda pertaining to the workforce, civil rights and social services, including workforce development, voting rights and voter suppression, and securing the economic and social well-being of children and families.
Director, Financial and Housing Policy
Kyle R. Williams closely monitors legislative and regulatory measures and develops advocacy strategies that promote economic empowerment through job creation, wealth building, and access to affordable and safe housing.
Senior Manager, Communications
Jordun Lawrence serves as Senior Manager of Communications for the National Urban League Washington Bureau. In this role, Jordun leads the Bureau’s social media and digital strategy and works with the Senior Director and NULWB staff to brand, lift up and advance the National Urban League, the Washington Bureau, its policy/legislative agenda and messaging coming out of Washington, DC to the public and affiliate movement.
Director, Congressional Advocacy
Latricia Boone serves as the Director of Congressional Advocacy for the National Urban League. As Director of Congressional Advocacy, Mrs. Boone is a liaison between the Urban League’s affiliate movement and the Washington bureau. She plays a key role in helping to expand advocacy efforts, including engaging a range of stakeholders to elevate their voice and influence to advance the National Urban League’s policy and legislative goals.
Manager, Education and Health Policy
Brandon Lewis is the Washington Bureau’s Manager for Education and Health Policy. He began his career as an educator in Houston, TX where he focused his efforts on developing a culturally responsive classroom in which students were intellectually challenged and culturally embraced. In his current role he relies on his classroom experience to support the work of state and local leaders committed to advancing equity in education and eliminating health disparities.

Ebony Baylor is the Special Assistant to the Senior Vice President for Policy and Executive Director of the National Urban League Washington Bureau.
Fellow, Telecommunications and Technology Policy
Gavin Logan is the Telecommunications Fellow for the National Urban League Washington Bureau. Prior to joining the Washington Bureau, Gavin served as the Assistant General Counsel for the District of Columbia Office of Cable Television, Film, Music and Entertainment.
