National Urban League Urges Thorough Review of Supreme Court Nominee's Record

NEW YORK (January 31, 2017) -- National Urban League President and CEO Marc H. Morial tonight urged a thorough review of the judicial record and public statements of Supreme Court nominee Neil Gorsuch.
                                                                               
Morial said he was concerned about Gorsuch’s apparent judicial extremism and criticism of those who have sought advancement of individual rights through the courts.

(January 24, 2017) - Two weeks after sending a letter to the leadership of the Senate Health, Education, Labor and Pensions (HELP) Committee expressing concerns over the nomination of Betsy DeVos as the next Secretary of Education, National Urban League President and CEO Marc H. WASHINGTON, DC (October 6, 2016) -- On Tuesday, October 11, the National Urban League will release a white paper entitled, 21st Century Innovations in Energy: An Equity Framework during a press conference.  The paper will provide overviews of the domestic electricity, solar, and oil and natural gas industries; present current employment numbers in each sector; and highlight economic and employment opportunities in each sector for people of color.
